BEDS FOR THE ARMY
Charity initiative "Beds for the Army"
was created to raise funds, which will be directed to the manufacturing and acquisition of highly mobile multipurpose beds for the Ukrainian armed forces, hospitals, and refugees.
CONCEPT
WHY IT MATTERS?
This war which Russia has waged against Ukraine hasrevealed that the Ukrainian armynot only needs to be equipped with modern weapons, supplies, andammunition, they need supplies for thearrangement of everyday life.
Ukrainian troops usually have to rest right on the floorin the places of dislocationn or in thedugouts. At the same time, modern armieshaverollawaybedsas part of the standard of asoldier's living conditions.
WHAT IS OUR AIM?
"Beds for the Army" charity initiative aims to provideUkrainian warriors with 10,000 sets of mobile
bed-transformers.
One set contains 2 beds.Successful accomplishment ofthis charity initiative will mean that troops do not have to rest on the ground but on comfortable beds.
WHAT DOES THE MILITARY SAY ABOUT THE BED?
Mykhailo, logistics officer
The Main Intelligence Directorate
of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine:
"We have tested the multifunctionalrollawaybed-transformer togetherwith two othersrepresentatives of my unit. The singular designmakes it possible to use them separately or together as a bunk bed or use as astretcher.
Tests show that a soldier with a height of 1.9 meters, and a weight of more than 100 kg, can easily be placed on the bed and can have a good rest on it. We havemeticulously evaluatedthe strength of the structure and the lack of backlash. The iron frame is tight and the pipes donot creak, firmly fixed in their slots. The fabric is tightly stretched and holds the body in a horizontal positionwithout sagging.
The bed is also equipped withorganizers with pockets, where you can put all of your personal things.
I especially liked the simplicity and speed of the bed assembly. We put it together intuitively in a few minutes without reading an instruction or having any training before.
This is one of the most important factors as you have no time to read an instructionin the field conditions. It is also necessary to say that the set is quite light and mobile. Beds are transported in two bags with a size of about 40 X 90 cm, the weight of each is 17 kg.
After this test, I can definitely recommend these beds are highly recommended for use in our unit".
